Receiver Operator
This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business, helping our network of local cooperatives, independent dealers, and other large retailers serve producers and animal owners throughout the United States. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing production equipment (e.g., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging).
- Operate machine tools, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
- Move, pack, and sort raw materials or finished goods.
- Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
- Maintain accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis and examine production materials for processing.
- Operate all equipment and processes, monitor machine parameters, and troubleshoot processing problems.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and co-workers at all times.
- Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by deadlines, and adapting to changes in priorities with minimal supervision.
- Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes.
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Giving full attention to what others are saying, taking time to understand points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18 years or older.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements.
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.
Pay
$24.25 per hour.
Schedule
1st shift: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM; overtime as needed. Shift schedules include days, nights, weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime.
