About the role

Our Supply Chain Services department manages various medical supplies, fills customers supply phone requests, code cart replenishments, incoming deliveries, tanks, and supports other Supply Chain functions.

Responsibilities

  • Check in and put away deliveries
  • Catch up on previous day’s deliveries or work
  • Handle Return Material Authorizations or PO’s invoiced but not received
  • Verify and stage all deliveries throughout facility
  • Handle temperature sensitive items (no hazardous materials)
  • Receive incoming orders and verify orders are accurate and intact, including special orders
  • Document and communicate damage, shipping errors, and/or other discrepancies
  • Input supplies received and print receiving ticket(s)
  • Apply property tags when applicable and notify appropriate party for items requiring electrical safety inspection
  • Audit incoming orders for accuracy, proper storage, temperature, and/or damage; resolve discrepancies in orders; mark items for distribution; and prepare various receiving and shipping documents
  • Distribute orders to appropriate departments on a timely basis
  • Prepare outgoing material for shipping, including all returns and repairs
  • Assure that packages are properly labeled and that a purchase order, return goods authorization, and/or materials disposition accompanies each package
  • Enter returns and substitution receipts information into the materials management information system
  • Work independently under regular supervision
  • Follow defined procedures
  • Make decisions and solve problems to meet internal customer supply needs and resolve vendor problems

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
  • Requires reading, writing and mathematical skills
  • May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy
  • A broad understanding of medical supplies and materials items and handling requirements as normally acquired through two or more years of related work with shipping & receiving and medical supplies
  • Effective organizational skills to accurately maintain records and coordinate various inventory control functions
  • Mathematical skills to calculate quantities and pricing
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Accurate keyboarding ability
  • Working knowledge of the Materials Management Information System

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment
  • Additional related education and/or experience

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 1:00 am–9:30 am
