About the role
The Receptionist in our manufacturing facility serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. This role is critical in managing front desk operations, including handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating communication across departments.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls promptly and accurately.
- Manage scheduling and calendar appointments for meetings and facility tours.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, ensuring proper distribution.
- Maintain the reception area to ensure it is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
- Cookpordicate communication between departments and relay messages efficiently.
- Aid with basic inventory management of office supplies and reorder as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phone systems and printers.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols relevant to manufacturing settings.
- Customer service training or certification.
- Ability to use scheduling and visitor management software.
