Rebuild Mechanic - Catoosa, Oklahoma

About the role

NGSG has immediate openings for a Rebuild Mechanic in Catoosa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild reciprocating compressors and/or industrial engines
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Read milling equipment (mics and calipers)
• Read prints to determine replacement parts needed
• Provide written reports to management

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Must have the needed tools for the job

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and work on your feet for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift)
• Must be able to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and full body movement (e.g., climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching)
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are required to safely operate welding equipment and hand tools
• Visual acuity is necessary to read blueprints, measure components, and inspect welds for quality and accuracy
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and fabrication shop conditions
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including welding hood, gloves, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection
