What We Offer
Tri-State Drilling's Rebar Division is growing, and we are looking to expand our crew with dedicated and skilled Rebar Groundman. Our projects range from high-profile substation foundations to large-scale caisson builds across the country. We pride ourselves on safety, quality, and production, and we’re looking for individuals who share these values and want to be part of a team that delivers results. As a Rebar Groundman, you will be responsible for placing and tying reinforcing steel in accordance with project drawings and specifications. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Read and interpret rebar shop drawings and blueprints.
- Place, position, and secure rebar using hand tools, tie wire, and related equipment.
- Absorb and assist in moving rebar cages, anchor bolt assemblies, and other structural elements.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE.
- Work in a team environment with foremen, laborers, and operators.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Qualifications
- Prior experience tying rebar or working as an ironworker preferred but not necessary!
- Ability to read shop drawings or willingness to learn
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions
- Willingness to travel for projects (per diem and lodging provided)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus (can be provided upon hire)
Work Environment
- This role involves hands-on work at active construction sites, primarily outdoors and exposed to a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind.
- You will operate in environments with uneven terrain, heavy equipment, and ongoing construction activity.
- The position requires physical stamina, awareness of surroundings, and the ability to follow safety procedures at all times.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
- You should be comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, adapting to changing site conditions, and communicating clearly with crew members and supervisors.
- Flexibility and a strong commitment to safety are essential.
