Duties
- Supervise a staff of real property appraisers or independently perform real property appraisal activities.
- Review and analyze appraisal reports.
- Provide appropriate valuations in difficult situations, such as property size extremes, complex situations, lack of comparable data, and multiple valuation methods for the same parcel.
- Recommend third-party appraisers and review their appraisal reports.
- Traverse uneven ground, hike in undeveloped areas, and work in inclement weather conditions during site inspections.
- Work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
- Travel overnight to inspect properties, attend training conferences, etc.
Requirements
- Legal Authorization to Work in the US.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of progressively responsible experience in real property appraising.
- Supervisory aptitude.
- Valid State of Hawaii certification as a Certified General Appraiser (CGA).
- Valid driver's license.
