Real Estate Processing Specialist I

About the role

The Real Estate Processing Specialist I position supports the Real Estate Processing Department at Bellco Credit Union. This role involves reviewing Home Equity loans, managing loan conditions, and assisting with loan closings.

Responsibilities

• Review Home Equity loans for income, home valuations, and title reports in accordance with Bellco procedures and guidelines.
• Aid in scheduling loan closings and preparing closing documents.
• Assist in funding loans.
• Collaborate with other departments and vendors to provide best-in-class service to members.
• Daily communication with members to update them on the loan process and answer inquiries.
• Manage and distribute loan conditions received through various channels.
• Educate members on Home Equity products.
• Utilize internal reports and dashboards to maintain required service levels and complete daily tasks.
• May assist in scheduling loan closings and drawing closing documents.
• Participate in regular pipeline reviews with management to ensure daily tasks are met.
• Provide coverage for co-workers to maintain member communication and processes to meet service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and agency requirements such as RESPA, Homeowner's Protections Act of 1998, SCRA, Fair Credit Legislation, HMDA, and CFPB.
• Deliver a superior member experience across all loan channels and points of contact.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in real estate lending.
• Knowledge of real estate lending and processing, including loan to value calculations, debt to income calculations, valuation reviews, and title reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, presentation, member service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on department procedures, company guidelines, and policies.
• Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and real estate origination systems.
