Responsibilities
- Initial drafting of real property related documents including deeds, easements, leases, amendments, estoppel certificates, affidavits, and other conveyance related documents
- Preparing entity formation documents (corporation, LLC, LP) and electronic state filings
- Handling all aspects of title and survey work
- Online research including land records and Secretary of State websites
- Tracking critical contract dates and closing checklists
- Cooking and assisting with all aspects of closings, including preparation of conveyance documents, closing statements, and other closing documents
- Maintaining project files, both paper and electronic
- Assisting clients
- Responding promptly with the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- At least three (3) years of law firm experience, preferably in real estate and/or corporate law
- A Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and advanced computer skills (including Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Proven project management skills, the ability to work independently, and prioritize tasks successfully
Qualifications
