Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive UCC lien searches and accurately interpreting the results.
- Preparing and reviewing real estate documents such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, deeds, and closing statements.
- Assisting attorneys in the preparation for and closing of real estate transactions.
- Conducting legal research and drafting legal memorandums, correspondence, and pleadings.
- Maintaining organized and up-to-date case files.
- Cooking with clients, title companies, opposing counsel, and courts as necessary.
- Keeping track of deadlines and ensuring all paperwork is correctly filed and delivered on time.
- Providing administrative support to attorneys as needed, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in conducting UCC lien searches is mandatory.
- A paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate law and legal procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong research and report-generating skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and other members of the firm.
