Real Estate Paralegal
Position Responsibilities
- Aid in real estate transactions from start to finish.
- Handle tasks such as drafting correspondence, preparing documents, and managing due diligence.
- Coordinate escrow activities and review title and survey documents.
- Manage lease agreements, service contracts, and management contracts.
- Search county land records and tax assessment databases.
- Create closing checklists and review closing documents.
- Work with service companies to obtain client organizational documents.
- Draft lease amendments and summaries.
- Assist with pro bono matters as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- A bachelor's degree.
- 1-3 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience.
- Willingness and flexibility to work overtime, occasionally on short notice.
Competencies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and track extensive details.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients and all levels of personnel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Initiative, diplomacy, and tact when under pressure.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
Pay & Benefits
EEO. Cooley LLP offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits program. The expected hourly pay range for this position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week is $35.00 - $50.00 ($72,800.00 - $104,000.00 annually). Final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
