Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed Excel-based models to evaluate property performance, investment returns, and financial scenarios.
- Examine operating results and investigate variances between actual outcomes, budgets, and forecasts to identify key business drivers.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses that help leadership assess acquisitions, asset performance, and strategic opportunities across the portfolio.
- Gather, organize, and interpret large data sets from multiple sources to support accurate reporting and sound financial recommendations.
- Prepare financial summaries, dashboards, and presentations that communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with finance and real estate teams to develop forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics for assets and projects.
- Review assumptions used in valuation and underwriting models to improve consistency, accuracy, and decision support.
- Support process improvements in analytical workflows and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and data reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong command of Excel, including advanced modeling techniques used for complex financial analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of real estate finance, including property-level analysis, valuation concepts, and investment metrics.
- Experience performing financial analysis, financial modeling, and variance analysis with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct ad hoc analysis and turn complex findings into clear, practical recommendations.
- Proficiency in working with large data sets and applying data mining techniques to uncover trends and insights.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
