Real Estate Finance Counsel
About the role
The Debt, Servicing and Restructuring group at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP focuses on real estate and finance matters throughout the United States, including senior, mezzanine, and equity financing, as well as acquisitions, dispositions, development, foreclosures, and workouts. The team represents lenders and commercial real estate developers in a variety of transactions across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Representing bank and/or non-bank lenders in real estate and finance matters
- Handling a range of financial and real estate matters for various clients
- Participating in senior, mezzanine, and equity financing transactions
- Assisting with acquisitions, dispositions, development, foreclosures, and workouts
- Working with lenders and commercial real estate developers on a variety of transactions
Requirements
- 10+ years of significant commercial real estate finance experience
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
- A positive attitude and a great work ethic
Qualifications
- Excellent academic credentials
- Admitted and in good standing in at least one of the following jurisdictions: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and/or Texas

- Commercial real estate finance expertise
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
