Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal counsel on all matters related to real estate law, with a particular focus on eminent domain.
  • Conduct thorough and detailed depositions, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and processed.
  • Manage all aspects of right-of-way acquisitions, including negotiations, legal documentation, and dispute resolution.
  • Represent the firm and its clients in court, presenting clear and compelling arguments in support of our position.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and ensuring their legal needs are met.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in real estate law and eminent domain, applying this knowledge to benefit our clients and the firm.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the legal team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Handle a high volume of cases, managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of work.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the TX state bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a real estate litigation attorney, with a focus on eminent domain.
  • Proven experience conducting depositions and managing right-of-way acquisitions.
  • Strong litigation skills, with a track record of success in court.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable outcomes for our clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear, understandable terms.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of real estate law and eminent domain, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Team player, with a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
