Real Estate Associate

About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a 2nd-4th year Real Estate Associate to join its Real Estate Practice in San Francisco. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-midlevel real estate attorney to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions for a diverse client base that includes developers, lenders, investment funds, REITs, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors. The role offers significant client exposure, hands-on responsibility, and the opportunity to work alongside highly regarded real estate practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions
• Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions involving various asset classes
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, financing documents, and ancillary transaction documents
• Support joint venture and real estate development matters
• Conduct due diligence reviews and assist with transaction management
• Coordinate closings and assist with all phases of real estate transactions
• Collaborate with attorneys across related practice areas to provide comprehensive client service
• Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
• 2-4 years of commercial real estate experience
• Experience handling:
  • Acquisitions and dispositions
  • Real estate finance transactions
  • Joint venture matters
  • Real estate development projects
• Prior large law firm experience preferred
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and work independently

Pay

Base Salary: $225,000 - $310,000 annually

Eligibility for discretionary bonus opportunities
