Real Estate Associate
About the role
Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a 2nd-4th year Real Estate Associate to join its Real Estate Practice in San Francisco. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-to-midlevel real estate attorney to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions for a diverse client base that includes developers, lenders, investment funds, REITs, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors. The role offers significant client exposure, hands-on responsibility, and the opportunity to work alongside highly regarded real estate practitioners.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions
- Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions involving various asset classes
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, financing documents, and ancillary transaction documents
- Support joint venture and real estate development matters
- Conduct due diligence reviews and assist with transaction management
- Coordinate closings and assist with all phases of real estate transactions
- Collaborate with attorneys across related practice areas to provide comprehensive client service
- Manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
- 2-4 years of commercial real estate experience
- Experience handling:
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Real estate finance transactions
- Joint venture matters
- Real estate development projects
- Prior large law firm experience preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong analytical, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and work independently

Pay
Base Salary: $225,000 - $310,000 annually
Eligibility for discretionary bonus opportunities
