The team represents developers, institutional investors, lenders, and family offices on acquisitions, development, joint ventures, leasing, and finance across Manhattan and national markets, and is known for collegiality, partner mentoring, and blue‑chip clients.

About the role

You’ll work on high‑value transactions with direct partner and client exposure from day one. The firm values well‑rounded real estate lawyers, so you’ll handle acquisitions, finance, development, and leasing rather than a single narrow stream — ideal for someone ready for the next step.

Responsibilities

• Handling acquisitions and dispositions of office, residential, retail, and mixed‑use assets
• Drafting and negotiating joint venture and LLC operating agreements
• Representing lenders and borrowers on mortgage, mezzanine, and construction loans
• Working on ground leases, commercial leases, and development agreements
• Running diligence, title, survey, and zoning reviews and managing closings
• Supervising junior associates and maintaining close client contact

Requirements

• JD from a U.S. law school and active New York Bar admission
• 3–6 years of commercial real estate experience at a respected law firm
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Finance or joint venture experience is particularly welcome
