About the role

A highly respected Memphis-based family office is seeking a Real Estate Associate to support acquisitions, development projects, construction management, site selection, and portfolio initiatives across a multi-state real estate platform.

Responsibilities

  • Support real estate acquisitions, lease transactions, renewals, and development initiatives
  • Aid with site selection, feasibility reviews, and property evaluations
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors, architects, engineers, and development partners
  • Maintain project schedules, budgets, pay applications, and change orders
  • Conduct due diligence activities including environmental, survey, entitlement, and site investigations
  • Perform site visits and construction progress reviews
  • Manage projects from concept through completion
  • Support portfolio planning, facility initiatives, and strategic real estate projects
  • Represent ownership on significant commercial projects

Requirements

  • Approximately 3-7 years of experience in construction, development, project management, corporate real estate, or related fields
  • Ground-up commercial, industrial, site development, or similar project experience preferred
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, schedules, budgets, and project documentation
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Excel and construction project management software
  • Ability to travel as projects require

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable in the conference room and on an active construction site. They should be naturally curious, detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and comfortable asking questions. They must also be confident working with contractors and consultants and interested in learning how real estate owners evaluate and execute projects.

Pay

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
