Job Summary
The State Parks Real Estate Analyst manages real property acquisitions, divestments, and agreements in accordance with Arkansas Code. Key responsibilities include securing appraisals, surveys, and title services; conducting land ownership research; preparing and interpreting legal descriptions, facilitating easements, permits, and land-use agreements; and negotiating and executing property transactions and leases with public and private entities. The role also prepares memorandums, presentations, and proposals for review by department leadership, legal counsel, government boards and agencies, the Arkansas Legislative Council, and the Governor. Additional duties include maintaining all official records and tracking systems for State Parks real estate activities. In-state travel to view property, attend closings, and perform courthouse research may be required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Securing appraisals, surveys, and title services
- Conducting land ownership research
- Preparing and interpreting legal descriptions
- Facilitating easements, permits, and land-use agreements

Knowledge and Skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills related to legal real estate processes
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate analysis, financial analysis, or a related field
- Professional credentials such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), or related designations may be required
- Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, market research, property valuation, and due diligence may be required
- Associate’s degree in business, real estate, building construction, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in real estate, facility management, contract management, or a related area
- An Arkansas Real Estate License, or ability to obtain one within six (6) months of hire
- Valid driver’s license
