About the role

The Real Assets Product Manager will be part of the Private Assets team, cultivating product and commercial innovation for existing clients and new products and services. He/she will be responsible for the product development of Real Assets solutions to support the decision-making processes of our clients with high-quality data and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform market analysis of existing and emerging client needs, industry trends, and competitive trends.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Identify new opportunities, service improvements, and cost reductions. Contribute to the determination of pricing and profitability of the product, inclusive of the approval of special pricing where necessary.
  • Present new ideas to clients in collaboration with the sales team and improve them based on client feedback.
  • Develop new Real Assets ideas in collaboration with research, including working with external providers and partners to onboard new data and developing new indexes.
  • Build a business plan with a strategic marketing mindset including elements of product, pricing, packaging, and competitive analysis to capture both a sizable part of the market and attractive revenue.
  • Map out a plan for development of thematic Real Assets products for different client segments, working closely with Program Management, Engineering, Data Operations, and Research to penetrate those markets.
  • Develop go-to-market plans for new products or features and prioritize their development.
  • Support product release and launch, including coordinating changes to applications, standard data feeds, and Salesforce; testing new features in relevant applications; preparing pitchbooks and factsheets; drafting FAQs and supporting documentation to support client-facing teams; and coordinating and sending client communications.
  • Work with sales to understand how products are being received in the market and identify ways to improve commercial packaging, targeting, positioning, and product-market fit.

Skills and Experience

  • Deep and commercial understanding of the commercial real estate industry, global investment process, and investment flows.
  • Working knowledge of the debt and lending side of real assets in addition to equity, spanning senior mortgages, mezzanine loans, B-notes, preferred equity, and both private real estate credit and public instruments such as CMBS, together with an understanding of how debt strategies differ from equity ownership in their risk, return, and yield profiles, their sensitivity to interest rates and credit spreads, and the metrics (LTV, DSCR, debt yield) used to underwrite and value them.
  • Institutional commercial and strategic business experience in the investment industry, with significant experience managing global and regional cross-functional teams.
  • Proven record of P&L management experience in Fintech, particularly in the subsegments of Investment & Capital Markets Technology and Financial Data.
  • Exceptional track record of managing, building, developing, and growing sales, research, and product management into high-performing teams.
  • Excellent balance of strategy and process / execution.
  • Proven track record of sustained revenue and profitability growth as a dynamic and successful global product management business leader.
  • Experience of delivering projects to clients from pitch to execution.
  • Experience delivering against target sales goals.
  • Balanced mindset between commercial revenue creation and technical skills with an ambition to create revenue and profits.
  • Creative and innovative in problem-solving, the formulation of solutions, and overcoming obstacles.
  • Great initiative and motivation, and a drive to learn new interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of the investment process of our clients, strong client relationships, and strategic mindset.
  • Proven record of collaborations, building highly effective business and commercial teams, achieved high revenue growth and profitability.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across different groups not reporting into the same function and the ability to motivate people within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong intellectual, commercial, persuasive, global market vision and entrepreneurial ability.
  • Able to convey expertise across the organization and to clients.
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic marketing, product, pricing, packaging, and competitive analysis in the relevant space.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
