Global Asset Management company is seeking a Real Asset Investment Associate to support the continued expansion of its real assets portfolio across the U.S. and European markets. This role will focus on research, portfolio monitoring, fund diligence, reporting, and operational coordination across real estate, infrastructure, and agricultural investments.
Our client is a subsidiary of a leading Japanese life insurance group, managing international investment portfolios across public and private markets with a strong focus on long-term institutional capital deployment in the U.S. and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports for real asset investments
- Conduct macroeconomic and real asset market research and prepare presentation materials for senior management
- Support investment due diligence for commingled real asset funds and external managers
- Participate in manager meetings and asset site visits as required
- Coordinate with internal operations teams to support investment execution and ongoing portfolio administration
- Support ESG implementation and portfolio-level sustainability measurement initiatives
- Maintain regular communication with international investment teams, including offices in London and Tokyo
- Perform additional investment and operational support tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field preferred)
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in real assets investing at one of the following:
- Institutional investor (insurance company, pension fund, endowment, foundation, sovereign wealth fund, family office)
- Asset management firm
- Investment consultant
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and investment performance metrics
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency
- Experience with automated research tools and reporting platforms
- Excel Macro/VBA experience preferred
- Power BI experience preferred, including report development using DAX and Power Query
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment
- Comfortable interacting with senior investment professionals
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Pay
Base Salary Range: $110,000 – $125,000
Location: New York, NY (Midtown – Onsite)
