About the role

As the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will support a fast-paced operation to deliver diagnostic products and ensure continuous quality, schedule adherence, and efficient production. You will be a member of the Operations Extended Leadership Team, interfacing with other team members to deliver on goals and collaborate to drive business strategy. You will operate per internal and external quality and safety requirements and work with area leadership to evaluate production process data and drive continuous improvement cross-functionally to achieve operational KPIs.

2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Responsibilities

  • Leads and empowers direct reports or teams; provides coaching, training, and opportunities to develop skills, and gives ongoing, constructive, and timely feedback on performance and progress toward goals and expectations.
  • Identifies scheduling conflicts, production issues, and equipment maintenance needs and collaborates with support functions for resolution.
  • Coordinates with process lead for resource management.
  • Responsible for production manufacturing adherence and maintains a thorough understanding of end-to-end production processes.
  • Sets goals and aligns deliverables for shifts and processes, reports misses to daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and implements corrective actions.
  • Creates a lean culture by empowering the workforce to provide and implement ideas to continuously improve and reduce waste while acting as a change agent to drive a culture of continuous improvement by actively demonstrating the use of lean manufacturing tools.
  • Collaborates with peers in other shifts/functions and support functions to drive value stream, lean manufacturing improvement, and global projects/initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (STEM degree preferred).
  • 4 years of relevant experience in production, manufacturing, supply chain, or related field, of which 2 years include process, people, or project leader experience.

  • Proven skills and experience with process improvement.
  • Proficient written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and a can-do attitude.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, AZ is $75,000 - $139,400 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
