Ready Mix Truck Driver- Soddy-Daisy, TN

About the role

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Ready Mix Truck Driver in the Soddy-Daisy, TN area to support our ETN Team. The successful candidate must have an uncompromising focus on safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads
• Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner to adjust to desired level
• Distinguish between a proper mix
• Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the current customer and job site
• Strive to meet customer expectations without exception
• Complete pre and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies
• Maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements, i.e., CDL, Class A or B Driver
• Maintain a good driving record

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual/automatic transmission truck without license restrictions for either transmission
• Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check
• Thorough operational knowledge and skill of mixer truck and related equipment to be operated
• Able to operate equipment safely and efficiently under a variety or working conditions
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
• Able to effectively communicate verbally
• Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as being able to work independently with attention to detail
