Ready Mix Driver (CDL) - Marcellus, NY

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver in the Syracuse area at their Central Square, Marcellus, and Nedrow locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete to job sites following safety and operational guidelines.
• Check concrete for quality and size according to ticket and maintain courteous customer relations.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• A valid CDL Class A or B Driver's License with no restrictions.
• Proficient reading, writing, and math skills.
• A minimum of one-year vehicle road experience operating multi-speed transmission of a commercial vehicle.
• A good driving record.
• A valid medical card.
• Concrete knowledge and experience preferred.
• A mechanical background or skills preferred.
• Availability to work six days a week (Monday-Saturday) and occasionally on Sunday.
• Ability to drive a maximum of 11 hours per day and work up to 14 hours per day as regulated by the Department of Transportation.
• A solid attendance and punctuality history.
• The ability to climb ladders.
• The ability to lift and assemble concrete chutes weighing 75 lbs.
