Ready Mix Driver

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver freshly mixed concrete to various job sites
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, adhering to all traffic laws
• Clean and wash the vehicle, removing concrete buildup from all exterior parts of the mixer
• Be willing to work according to customer demands
• Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
• Comply with all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
• Report all incidents and injuries to management immediately
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management

Requirements/Qualifications

• Previous Ready-Mix driving experience required
• Current Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
• No serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
• A current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
• Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
• Familiarity with slumps
• Good attendance and punctuality a must
• Physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
• Flexible schedule with flexible hours, including overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required
