General Summary

Work as a Reading/Writing project team member sharing responsibility for group tutoring, PLATO administration, classroom visits, data collection and day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in reading, writing, literature, secondary English education or related field
• A minimum of two years of teaching and/or tutoring preferably college level students

• Group tutoring
• PLATO administration
• Classroom visits
• Data collection
• Day-to-day operations

Transcripts

Work hours (for hourly positions): Hours and days could vary or change depending on the needs of the program. May include evenings and Saturdays.

Clearances

Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check. The College has provided instructions on how to obtain these clearances and are available here.
