About the Role

This role is fully on-site at one of our campuses, with relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct brief structured-literacy interventions with small groups of students, identifying phonics or decoding deficits and designing targeted instructional sequences.
  • Support students during app-based core instruction, identifying stuck points and maintaining daily performance expectations.
  • Facilitate morning routines, life-skills programming, and reflection activities to sustain engagement among six-year-olds.
  • Motivate students toward weekly application goals using incentives, leaderboards, and gamification.
  • Remain with your students throughout lunch, recess, and dismissal, addressing behavioral challenges with individualized strategies.

Requirements

  • Willing to work on-site at one of the listed campuses (AZ - Phoenix, OK - Oklahoma City/Tulsa, TX - Dallas/Fort Worth/Plano/The Woodlands, UT - Park City) with relocation support.
  • At least 3 years of experience working directly with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, or similar roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience teaching reading in grades K-3 within the last 5 years.
  • Completed structured-literacy training (LETRS, IMSE, Orton-Gillingham, etc.) or a master's in reading/literacy.
  • Bachelor's degree in any subject (teaching certificate not required).
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Ability to maintain engagement among six-year-olds using presence and well-designed activities.
  • Experience with reading platforms (Amira, Lexia, i-Ready) or diagnostic assessments (DRA, DIBELS, AIMSweb) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in resolving decoding difficulties in specific students.
  • Experience in non-traditional educational models (charter, micro-school, Montessori, hybrid) is advantageous.
