About the role

The Reading/ELA Teacher position at Liberty County High School is responsible for teaching English Language Arts to high school students. This includes planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English Language Arts curriculum aligned with state standards.
• Assess student learning through various methods such as quizzes, tests, and projects.

Requirements

• Certification in High School English from an accredited institution.
• Experience teaching English Language Arts at the high school level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Teaching certification in High School English.

• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of current ELA pedagogy and best practices.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

The teacher will be scheduled to teach five days a week, typically including a mix of morning, afternoon, and evening classes.
