About the Role
This distribution associate performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Receive goods, verify items against the shipment record, and inspect their condition.
- Gather, verify, and pack items for shipment according to specifications and the chosen transportation method.
- Record received and shipped items according to established procedures.
- Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
- Complete written and computerized documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of related experience.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Knowledge of typical shipping and receiving procedures, including handling some exceptions.
- Basic reading, writing, and numerical ability.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record may be required.
- Able to operate powered equipment such as a forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Pay
The starting pay range for this hourly non-exempt role is $17.31–$22.71 per hour, depending on geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Eligible for overtime when working more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
