RCx Energy Advisor

About the role

Leidos is seeking multiple RCx Energy Advisors/Engineers to support an RCx energy-efficiency program for industrial and commercial facilities near Detroit, Michigan. These positions involve identifying energy savings opportunities, conducting site surveys, and working with facility managers to promote energy efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify RCx efficiency opportunities, calculate energy savings, and maintain strong customer relationships
• Deliver presentations and prepare reports
• Conduct site surveys and facilities assessments
• Work on-site with facility managers, engineers, and other professionals to encourage energy efficiency practices
• Perform HVAC system assessments and evaluate energy-consuming systems
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations
• Perform ASHRAE level I, II, III energy auditing for commercial and industrial facilities
• Knowledge of different types of Building Automation Systems

Requirements

Strong knowledge needed in retro-commissioning of HVAC, lighting, and process systems. Must be able to utilize initiative to develop relationships with customers, vendors, and professional organizations to stay updated on operational trends, energy efficiency technologies, practices, and regulations in electric and natural gas demand side management.

Qualifications

• Junior Level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy management. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Mid-Level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy management. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Senior Level: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in energy efficiency and/or energy management. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

Pay

The pay range for this position is $59,150.00 - $106,925.00. Additional factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law, are considered in extending offers.
