We’re seeking a creative and driven Communications & Graphic Design Intern to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience in marketing, visual communications, and content creation, all while contributing to RCAP Solutions’ mission of empowering communities and improving lives.
Responsibilities
- Produce a variety of print and digital materials including postcards, banners, flyers, and other branded graphics to support outreach and engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and program staff to design visually compelling flyers for workshops, trainings, and events.
- Develop professional PowerPoint presentations and create branded templates that can be reused across departments for consistent visual communication.
- Write and format staff bios and resumes using established templates to ensure consistency and professionalism.
- Write blog posts and website content to support brand messaging and engagement.
- Assist with creating and scheduling content across social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok).
- Assist with trade shows and community outreach events (as student schedule allows).
- Help with other marketing and communications projects assigned by supervisor.
- Lead with RCAP Solutions values: Integrity, Empathy, Empowerment, Passion, Community, and a Commitment to a Better Tomorrow.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college program majoring in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Understanding of social media platforms and current trends.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees, management, and clients.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Typical office settings include the ability to spend extended hours sitting and using office equipment and computers.
- Move regularly from sitting to standing position as well as frequently bending to file and maintain files.
- Ability to work on repetitive tasks and use fine motor skills to handle and control objects.
- Ability to use earpieces or headphones. Speak, listen, and understand others.
- Occasionally lift 15 to 30 lbs.
