Qualifications for Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Free access to the RBT certification course for candidates with experience working with children in a professional or volunteer setting, such as camps, daycare, tutoring, or mentoring.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Follow all BCBA guidance related to each client’s treatment plan
- Prepare for sessions with a clear understanding of goals, structure, and materials
- Implement intervention procedures and provide timely communication and feedback to the BCBA
- Maintain professionalism when interacting with parents and caregivers, following BACB ethical standards
- Collect and record data on client progress during sessions
- Comply with all HIPAA confidentiality requirements
