About the role

Solving Autism, LLC is seeking caring and energetic Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for our new Rock Hill, SC clinic. This site focuses on developing functional life skills with adolescents and teenage learners in a home-like setting. RBTs will blend traditional ABA interventions with community-based learning opportunities, job-readiness training, and independent living skills development. The role involves one-on-one support to provide highly individualized skill-building aligned with each learner’s treatment plan.

Solving Autism implements best practices with a whole-person approach, utilizing neurodivergent-affirming practices, positive reinforcement techniques, and a blend of Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT). RBTs also contribute to data collection. Paid training is provided for candidates new to the field, and ongoing support is available.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to adolescents and teens with high support needs in a home-like clinic setting.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans using ABA interventions, including NET and DTT methods.
  • Facilitate community-based learning, job-readiness training, and independent living skills development.
  • Collect and document data as part of the treatment process.
  • Collaborate with a team to support learners and therapists throughout their ABA journey.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental disabilities, or behavior challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and professional conduct.
  • Experience implementing positive behavior supports and de-escalation strategies.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Sense of humor and a strong work ethic.
  • Flexibility in thinking and openness to continued learning.
  • Willingness to commit to the role for at least six months.
  • Completion and maintenance of First Aid and CPR certification (training provided).

Preference given to candidates with current RBT certification. Candidates new to the field will receive assistance with training and certification within the first 60-90 days of employment.
