RBT/ABA Therapist

About the role

Interactive Kids is hiring ABA Therapists and RBTs to join our School Consultation Team. You’ll work 1:1 with students in public school classrooms, helping them access their education through behavioral support, skill-building, and consistent collaboration with teachers, school staff, and your supervising BCBA.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support using ABA strategies tailored to each student’s goals
• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) across school routines
• Help students with communication, classroom transitions, and self-regulation
• Collect daily behavior and skill acquisition data using Rethink
• Collaborate with BCBAs, teachers, CST teams, and paraprofessionals
• Travel to assigned school placements (districts across South Jersey)
• Provide two after-school in-home or community-based sessions per week

Requirements

• RBT certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Previous ABA experience with school-aged children
• Ability to stay calm, positive, and focused in busy classroom settings
• Organizational skills, consistency, and confidence in following behavior plans
• Effective communication with adults and students
• Reliable transportation for travel across districts and to after-school sessions
• Openness to learning, growing, and being part of a collaborative team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Skills

• Knowledge of ABA principles and techniques
• Ability to adapt to various teaching environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis

Pay

• RBT - $23/hour
• ABA Therapist (non-certified) - $20/hour

• Full-Time (day hours)
• Plus 2 afterschool (evening) cases per week
