Raw Receiving Attendant - Protein RE
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and stage raw materials from trailers and open-top trucks to ensure proper flow into the protein conversion process.
- Monitor raw material bins and receiving areas closely to prevent overflows, contamination, or production disruptions.
- Perform daily and weekly sanitation duties, including cleaning floors, walls, catch basins, and foaming designated areas to meet food safety and biosecurity standards.
- Learn and support all job functions within the Protein Conversion area as needed to maintain efficient operations.
- Safely operate or learn to operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) and other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all plant safety, food safety, and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience: Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player.
- Physical requirements: Ability to work in warm temperatures and lift 50 lbs or more.
