Raw Materials Planner

Position Summary

The Raw Material Planner will forecast and order packaging materials and other supplies required for manufacturing, coordinating with vendors to procure supplies, track dates, and resolve issues.

Essential Functions

• Determines forecasted demand of packaging components and supplies
• Manages lead times and orders appropriately to ensure supply
• Works with vendors to track delivery and resolve issues
• Identifies cost-saving and alternate vendors
• Identifies alternative packaging when needed
• Consolidates packaging to common sizes
• Works with product development to identify and plan packaging for new products
• Sets up supply to support production schedule
• Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues and risks to supply
• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
• Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• Planning and/or purchasing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of MS Office with strength in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in ERP systems preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong analytical mindset
• Reliable, self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision
• Able to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines and also have the ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and needs

Physical Demands

• Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
