Raw Material Handler I

Summary

Prepares, converges, and moves raw materials and rework to support production by performing the following duties.

• Conveys materials from warehouse and/or trucks to designated lines, recording all material movement into daily log sheet.
• Comprehends Coago & I-point to ensure orders are uploaded on time.
• Identifies all labels & materials throughout the plant for segregation purposes.
• Stacks or assembles materials into neatly stacked rows.
• Drives safely to ensure safety of all pedestrians.
• Assists in the packing department when needed.
• Operates industrial fork truck or hand truck safely to assist in loading or moving raw materials and rework.

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Mental and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
