Rapid Response Team Sr. Network Engineer
Summary: ValidaTek is seeking a Rapid Response Team Sr. Network Engineer to support a large DoD IT infrastructure program.
About the Role
As part of the Rapid Response Team, the Sr. Network Engineer will focus on the optimization of the network framework to prevent system intrusions and respond with urgency when a breach occurs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security incidents and breaches, leading the response and overseeing troubleshooting and resolution to address the issue.
- Achieve urgency and quality in response to security incidents and breaches.
- Prevent and safeguard against future breaches and incidents.
- Stay current on best practices and make recommendations to upgrade systems and processes, then oversee the implementation of these recommendations.
- Oversee and plan system configuration, utilizing an in-depth knowledge of best practices and protocols necessary to maintain and optimize network configuration and security.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in a primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches, and designing, architecting routed and switched networks.
- Proven performance as a subject matter expert in network configuration that emphasizes optimization and system security.
- At least one nationally recognized certification for senior network administrators/engineers/architects tied to the proposed solution’s routers and switches.
- IAT Level III certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, which must be obtained within 120 days after start date.
- A current TS/SCI clearance.
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent, with a master’s degree preferred.
Pay
Salary Range: USD $95,577.60/Yr. - USD $159,296.00/Yr.
Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location, contract affordability, internal equity, education, and certifications.
