Rapid Response Nurse (RRN), ICU, Full Time, Days
About the role
The Rapid Response Nurse (RRN) is a key member of a Rapid Response Team that provides immediate clinical support within and outside the critical care setting. The RRN responds rapidly to medical crises, stabilizes patients, and ensures safe transitions to appropriate care levels across all hospital areas, including outpatient services.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients and initiates life-saving interventions
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Provides clinical insights to prevent further deterioration of patient health
- Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic, and efficient care
- Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach
- Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulations
Requirements
- Current California RN License
- BLS from American Heart Association
- ACLS from American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months
- Violence Intervention & Prevention (VIP) certification within 3 months of employment
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
- 2-Year Critical Care experience (preferred)
- BSN (preferred)
Qualifications
Strong verbal & written communication skills, critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and computer skills are required. A BSN is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills
Knowledge of the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code, and familiarity with relevant healthcare regulations.

$54,940 - $82,610 annually
