TTI Power Equipment is hiring Repair Technicians (Levels I, II, and III) in Anderson, SC to support the Recon/Refurbish Department.
About the role
The Repair Technician performs repair and/or service work on Company products following prescribed procedures. The role involves using hand tools and small power tools to disassemble, diagnose, and repair customer tools/products.
Responsibilities
- Perform all necessary repairs and complete function tests to confirm proper repair.
- Read and comprehend repair order information and parts schematics.
- Diagnose tools by performing complete function tests.
- Disassemble units, diagnose operating difficulties, and replace worn or defective parts within time constraints.
- Complete repair order forms and maintain records of parts used for billing and warranty information.
- Set up and perform electrical and mechanical tests to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
- Work from parts sheets, specifications, and drawings to perform prescribed inspections.
- Assist in other areas as needed, including material handling, 5S projects, stocking shelves, and packing items for shipment.
- Make decisions on repair feasibility and report operational irregularities or defective materials.
- Under supervision, recommend warranty liability and address unusual repair problems.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties as required.
- Maintain quality of work, safety, and housekeeping in assigned areas.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical and diagnostic skills required.
- High attention to detail and basic computer/writing skills.
- One to two years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical repair.
Physical Demands
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Repetitive motion, frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; team lifts for weights over 50 lbs.
- Able to work in various temperature conditions.
