Range Master/Firearms Instructor (RMFI) - WPS III (Iraq)

About the role

The Department of State (DOS) – Secret clearance level is seeking a range manager to support Worldwide Protective Services III (WPS III) Task Orders (TO) in austere environments. The successful candidate will manage the firing range, supervise weapons requalification training, and plan, coordinate, and conduct weapons requalification training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the firing range and supervise weapons requalification training in overseas locations.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct weapons requalification training.
• Ensure that all equipment, weapons, ammunition, and materials are on hand for training.
• Perform administrative tasks necessary to support range operations.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a range master, earned as part of other federal, state, or local government training assignments.
• Must possess evidence of formal certification as a firearms instructor.
• Must attend and successfully complete a supervisory course.
• Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Must have a valid U.S. Passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.
• Must be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Must meet all physical requirements and work conditions as outlined.

Training (Paid Training)

• Attend and successfully complete the DOS Non-Protective Security Specialist Basic and Basic Field Firearms Officer’s courses.
