About the role
To load and unload FedEx aircrafts and vehicles; to scan and transport freight to and from ramp and within a facility.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload FedEx aircraft and vehicles
- Scan and transport freight to and from ramp and within the facility
- Complete all ramp training and certification (GSE, tug, belt loader, t-stacking, DG)
- Maintain accreditation through yearly recurrency training prior to expiration
- Perform other assigned tasks as required
- Meet minimum requirements for mandatory tests and training
- Work in a Windows environment
- Work on various shifts based on operational needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or educational equivalent
- Valid FULL G driver’s license (or equivalent, e.g., class 5 or 1 [AZ] for driving-focused roles)
- Good driving record (no more than two infractions and/or accidents in the 24 months prior to application)
- Able to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Good problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Bilingual (French and English) required for positions in Quebec
Qualifications
Candidates will be evaluated based on:
- Annual driving record
- Interview performance
- Results of driving assessments
Knowledge of FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is an asset.
Schedule
Temporary part-time work assignment, up to 12 months.
AM shift, Monday to Saturday with Fridays off. Shift/timings may be subject to change based on operational needs.
