About the Role
The Ramp & Customer Service Agent is responsible for above and below wing tasks which include guest interactions and ramp functions in a fast-paced airport environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests with travel needs, including answering inquiries, baggage handling, ticketing, checking-in passengers, and boarding flights.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions performing below wing functions such as transporting baggage and cargo, loading and offloading luggage and cargo, aircraft marshaling, pushing back aircraft, and aircraft deicing.
- Perform aircraft grooming and security searches.
- Conduct boarding and gate duties, including assisting and directing guests, making announcements, processing standbys, and handling upgrade requests.
- Process and secure guest luggage; file and maintain luggage claims for damaged, delayed, or pilfered items.
- Load and offload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
- Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
- Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
- Basic mathematics skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
- Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance and communicate in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 and must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.

Pay
Starting wage: $18.27 per hour (non-negotiable). When working a split shift, employees receive a $2.25 per hour differential, resulting in an effective split-shift hourly rate of $20.52 per hour.
Schedule
- 15 to 30 hours per week.
- Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Additional Requirements
Employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority. Failure to qualify for or maintain a SIDA badge will result in termination.
