Primary Job Duties

• Processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft
• Receiving and dispatching aircraft
• Loading and unloading aircraft and carts
• Stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft
• Completing safety checklists for motorized equipment
• Driving and operating motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belts)
• Reading and interpreting load sheets and checked baggage tags
• Escorting passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously
• Ensuring compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies

Minimum Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license
• Have a High School Diploma or GED
• Obtain and maintain position-specific clearances including, but not limited to, FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs clearances
• Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen
• Be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Lift heavy bags over 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work outside in all weather conditions
• Attend four days of Basic Station Training
• Have a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• This position does not require a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position
