About the role

The Regional Admissions Counselor serves as the primary representative of East Carolina University within the assigned Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill territory. This position develops and executes a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract, engage, and enroll prospective undergraduate students, including freshmen and transfer populations. The role involves building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and providing guidance to prospective students and families throughout the admissions process.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a territory-specific recruitment strategy for the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill area.
• Engage with prospective undergraduate students (freshmen and transfers) to encourage enrollment.
• Build and sustain relationships with high schools, community colleges, and other key stakeholders.
• Provide admissions guidance and support to prospective students and their families.
• Represent East Carolina University at college fairs, school visits, and community events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Entry-level experience in admissions, enrollment, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory (Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
