About the role
The Railcar Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing various components of railcars to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair railcar components such as brakes, couplers, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections and tests on railcars to identify and address issues.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in railcar maintenance or related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient in using hand tools and power equipment.
- Knowledge of railcar systems and operations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay
$18.50 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
