About the role

Rail Terminal Services is hiring a Rail Terminal Diesel Truck Mechanic to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT. The position offers a starting hourly wage of $27.50 and the potential to earn up to $70,000 annually with overtime. The shift is Monday through Friday, with a day shift and occasional on-call work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair hostler fleet, forklifts, and company vehicles.
• Maintain Hostler Fleet.
• Welding, fabricating.
• Working on Electrical components.
• Routine maintenance.
• Absorb other tasks as directed by managers.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the mechanical field.
• Preventative maintenance mindset.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own tools (yearly tool allowance provided).
• Experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components.
• At least 18 years old with verifiable mechanical experience.
• Pass a background check.
• Pass a physical strength test.
• Pass drug screening.
