As a Rail Inspector with Eurofins Grain Inspection, you’ll be the frontline force ensuring grain quality and safety across the supply chain. You’ll travel throughout eastern Indiana and west-central Ohio to inspect, test, and certify grain shipments that feed the world.

Responsibilities

• Travel to offsite locations to inspect and grade grain samples (corn, soybeans, wheat, and more)
• Perform moisture, weight, damage, and mycotoxin testing using visual and computerized methods
• Operate and maintain mobile lab equipment for onsite testing
• Accurately report results and issue inspection certificates to clients
• Communicate with operations and client facilities to ensure smooth service delivery
• Maintain sampling tools and follow safety protocols
• Train and mentor new inspectors as needed
• Adapt to changing schedules, short-notice assignments, and occasional overnight stays

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience (or equivalent)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Willingness to work in outdoor, dusty environments with moderate noise
• Physical ability to lift up to 15 lbs and operate mobile testing equipment

Mandatory Driving Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of verifiable driving experience
• Clean driving record within the last three years
• Motor vehicle report (MVR) required as part of the hiring process
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain up-to-date auto insurance

Additional Information

• Compensation: $17.00-18.50 based on experience
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00pm-5:00pm; Weekends and variable hours based on business needs
