Rail Crew Laborer

Key Responsibilities

• Unloading product from railcars at various company facilities.
• Afford assistance to the plant foreperson with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Maintain and safely operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to; Frontend Loader and skid steer loader.
• Perform miscellaneous duties such as general labor, shoveling, equipment maintenance, assisting foreperson and/or crew members as needed.
• May perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Detect and respond to safety hazards and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow directions and possess a general understanding of OSHA & MSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent reaching with hands and arms.
• Sometimes stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasionally standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Climbing or balancing.
• Talking or hearing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
