Radiology Transporter/Assistant - Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center - Per Diem
About the role
The role of a Transporter/Assistant in the Radiology Department is vital. You will work directly with Radiologic Technologists to assist in the patients' care and will be responsible for escorting or transporting patients within the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Escort or transport patients within the hospital, including to and from the imaging department from various areas.
- Moving and positioning patients for their exams.
- Helping patients to and from the restroom.
- Moving patients on/off stretchers and to and from wheelchairs for transportation purposes.
- All other tasks/duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: BLS certification (from the American Heart Association).
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patient, compassionate nature.
- Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses.
- Proficiency in computer-based documentation such as Epic.
