About the role
The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic imaging for patients to assist the patient's physician in expediting needed care.
Responsibilities
- Performing or assisting in procedures per department protocols
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Utilizing proper procedures for identifying images, patients, and marking images correctly for interpretation
- Ordering exams that match the procedures being performed
- Addressing patient needs with age-specific criteria, from neonates to geriatrics
- Assisting in a QA review to maintain professional standards for themselves and student technologists
Requirements
- No experience required
- KY Radiation Operator’s License at time of hire
- Basic Life Support certification via AHA within 90 days of hire
- Eligible for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) at time of hire
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds
- Standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Working in confined spaces
- Sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time
- Performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing)
- Risk of injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials
- Exposure to radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, recombinant DNA or viral vectors, and combative/violent people
Shift
- Tuesday through Friday 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
Pay
- Starting pay was recently adjusted to $26.47/hour
- All pay rates will be based on the candidate’s experience
- Sign-on bonus available: $15,000 for new graduates (less than one year of experience) and $30,000 for candidates with one or more years of experience, contingent upon a 24-month employment commitment
Schedule
- Tuesday through Friday 7:00 am – 5:30 pm
