About the role
Performs diagnostic radiology procedures using appropriate equipment and safety protocols to assist in disease diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Operates radiology equipment as instructed by a licensed physician.
- Selects and adjusts technical settings for each patient based on judgment.
- Develops and implements procedure and treatment plans following established protocols.
- Maintains documentation to ensure compliance with policies.
- Ensures cleanliness and safety of equipment, rooms, and work areas.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
- Completes assigned tasks and performs additional duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of a recognized radiology technology program and registration with ARRT(R). A new graduate awaiting certification is acceptable.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions, plan, and organize work effectively.
- Licensure requirements include ARRT(R), BLS certification within 14 days, and state licensing as applicable.
